Terms of service

The basis on which we carry out work. Last updated September 2026.

Quotes and pricing

Prices are given on the phone based on the vehicle details and the situation you describe. That price stands provided the information given is accurate. If the vehicle or the fault turns out to be materially different when we arrive, we will tell you before carrying out any work and you are free to decline.

We do not charge a call-out fee.

Proof of ownership

We require photo identification and evidence that you keep the vehicle, such as the V5C, an insurance certificate or a finance agreement, before carrying out key or lock work. We reserve the right to refuse any job where ownership cannot be established to our satisfaction.

Payment

Payment is due on completion unless a business account has been agreed in advance. We accept card payment at the vehicle. Invoices issued to businesses are payable on the terms stated on the invoice.

Workmanship

Work is carried out to a professional standard and tested before we leave. Keys and parts we supply carry a warranty against manufacturing defect. The warranty does not cover damage, loss, water ingress or faults arising elsewhere in the vehicle.

Liability

We are not liable for pre-existing faults or wear in locks, barrels, ignition systems or vehicle electronics, or for consequential losses such as missed appointments or lost earnings. Where a vehicle cannot be worked on without damage, we will tell you before starting and you may decline the work.

Cancellation

You may cancel at any time before work begins. If we have already travelled to the vehicle, a reasonable attendance charge may apply, and we will tell you about it at the time rather than afterwards.

Want anything clarifying?

No call-out fee. A price agreed on the phone, and an honest ETA before we set off.
