Straight down from Stanningley
Morley is one of our closer areas. We come down through Farnley or onto the Ring Road, about six miles in all. Queen Street, Morley Bottoms, Fountain Street and the estates towards Churwell are all regular ground.
Morley has its own town centre parking, a station, and a lot of housing with on street parking, so we see the full range of jobs here rather than one dominant type.
Town centre and station
The car parks around Queen Street and the station are where most of the town centre calls come from: a key locked in a boot during the school run or a shopping trip, or a commuter key lost in Leeds or Manchester with the car waiting at this end.
Both are jobs we do at the vehicle. A quick entry for the lockout, or a new key cut and programmed in the car park for the lost key.
What else we get called to
- Snapped keys on cold mornings, which need extraction before a new key
- Stiff ignitions that have been getting worse for months, which is barrel work
- Spare keys for second cars, booked as a planned visit at home
- Keys lost at the White Rose, which is a short hop from here
- Vans on the industrial estates near the M62 junction, where a lost key stops the job
What to expect
| Problem | Typical fix |
|---|---|
| Locked out in town | Entry at the car park, no damage |
| Lost the only key | New key produced at the vehicle |
| Key snapped in the lock | Extraction plus a replacement key |
| Only one key | Spare cut and programmed at home |
Our route into Morley
We come down through Farnley and Churwell, or take the Ring Road and drop in from the Tingley side. Queen Street, Fountain Street, Morley Bottoms and the estates towards Drighlington are all close together once we are in LS27.
Around six miles, which makes Morley one of our closer areas. The main variables are the M62 junction at peak and the school run around the town centre. For the station car park, the bay number saves us time, and for the town centre it helps to know which car park you are in because several of them sit close together.
A typical call-out in Morley
School run, town centre car park, a boot full of shopping and a key that is now sat on the parcel shelf behind a locked door. The ticket is running down and there is somewhere to be.
We come straight out, and the car is opened without a mark on it. The other Morley regular is the commuter version: a key lost in Leeds or Manchester with the car waiting at the station all evening. Same answer, different job. We come to the vehicle, cut and program a new key, and nobody has to arrange recovery for a car that is parked perfectly legally where it stands.
Nearby areas we cover from Morley
The same run covers Churwell, Tingley, Drighlington, Gildersome and the edges of Beeston and Bramley. The White Rose is a short hop from here as well.
For town centre jobs, name the car park rather than giving a postcode. Several of them sit within a couple of hundred yards of each other and they all have the same postcode district.

Yes, along with the rest of LS27 and the surrounding areas.
Can you come to Morley station car park?
Yes, and it is a regular one for commuters who have lost a key elsewhere.

No. You get a single agreed price before we set off.
Do you cover Gildersome and Drighlington?

Can you come to the White Rose from here?
Yes, it is just up the road and one of our most common call-outs.
